More About Me

  • I am a wife and mother of five children-- two adult children, two teenagers, and a nine year old.
  • I am proud to be called a homemaker, and I loved the twelve+ years that I homeschooled each of my kids, as well as other homeschooled children.
  • I've lived in Utah all my life, except for three glorious years in Portugal as a teenager.
  • I would love to see more of the world through travel and exploration. I really enjoy learning about other cultures.
  • I have a thing for foreign films.
  • I am a runner. A proud marathoner. My yoga and meditation practice is a joy and grounding presence in my life.
  • I am a life-long learner. I love to read good novels and good poetry. I love to study and am constantly seeking understanding, wisdom, and enlightenment through study and reading.
  • I am passionate about healing and wellness.
  • I eat a vegan, plant-based diet.
  • I taught cooking classes for many years in my community.
  • I've spent countless hours in volunteer service. A 4-H leader, a cub scout den mother (multiple times), school lunchroom and library parent volunteer.  Have given many, many hours of devoted church service in capacities of teaching, mentoring youth, as well as leadership positions.
  • I've shared my massage therapy training and gifts to help many individuals and groups in my community. This brings me so much happiness and fulfillment.
  • I love peace, rhythm, beauty, prayer, stillness, practicing mindfulness, nature, fresh air, quiet, experiencing loveliness, and breathing deeply.
  • I am a photographer and writer. My personal blog Abide With Me has a world-wide readership which constantly fills my heart with amazement, gratitude, and joy.
